Interim Budget 2025: Rs. 1,402 Billion Allocated for Key Ministries and Ongoing Projects

The interim budget for the first four months of 2025 has earmarked approximately Rs. 1,402 billion to ensure the smooth functioning of government activities and the continuation of ongoing projects.

Among the ministries, the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation has received the highest allocation, amounting to Rs. 220.06 billion.

Significant funding has also been directed to other key sectors:

  • Rs. 186.02 billion for the Ministry of Financial Planning and Economic Development.
  • Rs. 170.47 billion for the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.
  • Rs. 161.99 billion for the Ministry of Health and Mass Media.
  • Rs. 142.95 billion for the Ministry of Defense.

Additionally, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has been allocated Rs. 92 billion, while the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation will receive Rs. 67.36 billion.
