An individual sustained injuries in a police shooting incident that occurred around 2:30 a.m. today (11) near the Gala Junction area in Kiribathgoda. The injured person has been admitted to the Ragama Hospital for treatment.
According to police sources, the incident took place when officers attempted to approach a suspicious individual on a motorcycle. The suspect reportedly fled the scene, prompting the officers to open fire.
Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
