Malwatu Asgiri Maha Na Theras have sent a letter to President Ranil Wickramasinghe to inform that the government should take measures to control the cost of living and restore the people’s life in a sensitive manner and conduct the local government elections as scheduled.
The letter also states that instead of placing the entire burden of the economic crisis on the public, the government should work to reduce public suffering through practical solutions such as proper management of public funds, elimination of corruption, prevention of misuse of public resources, and removal of unlimited privileges enjoyed by public representatives.
