According to the verdict given by the Supreme Court regarding the people who bankrupted Sri Lanka, the opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said that the civic rights of those responsible should be abolished. Sri Lanka Latest News
The opposition leader said that the president could abolish their civic rights and that the president should take that decision for the sake of 220 lakh people.
Considering a fundamental rights petition filed regarding Sri Lanka’s economic bankruptcy, the Supreme Court has ruled that seven people including former presidents Mahinda Rajapaksa, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and former finance minister Basil Rajapaksa should be held responsible.
