IGP’s second service extension lapses from the 9th: will he get another extension? I Sri Lanka Latest News

Police Headquarters says that the 3-month extension of service given to Inspector General of Police CD Wickramaratne for further function in the post of Inspector General of Police is scheduled to end on the 9th of this month. Sri Lanka Latest News

The Inspector General of Police has been given two service extensions so far.

When IGP CD Wickramaratne, who was appointed as the 35th IGP of Sri Lanka in November 2020, was scheduled to retire on 25th March, President Ranil Wickramasinghe gave him a 3-month service extension for the first time.

After the completion of the first service extension, the second service extension was given for a period of three months with effect from June 09.

The service extension is scheduled to end on the 9th of this month.
