He noted that the Inspector General of Police has alerted all senior police officers to pay attention to officers suspected of using such drugs in police stations and deploy intelligence officers to monitor their activities.
This was said while replying to a query from the Police Media Spokesman regarding the police officers who were arrested for drinking ice drug.
He said that police officers who are caught drinking ganja will be given a transfer in the first instance, and police officers who are found to be drinking heroin or ice drugs will be arrested and brought before the court and then they will be dismissed from the police service.
