A group of former state ministers representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has requested the President to appoint state ministers as soon as possible if the formation of an all-party government is delayed.
It was during a recent meeting between President Ranil Wickramasinghe and a group of former government ministers representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam, General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, stated that the meeting between the former state ministers and the President took place under the approval of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. Meanwhile, a meeting of the parliamentary group of the ruling party is scheduled to be held tomorrow (28) at 5:00 pm.
That is at the Ministry of Finance headed by the President.
