Dr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms, says that about 400 ice drug addicts are remanded daily.
The minister mentioned that the number of inmates in prisons has now exceeded 26,000.
The minister further said that it is necessary to take urgent measures to reduce prison congestion.
