The magistrate issued a summons to the leader of our Janabala Party, Saman Perera, who did not appear before the court yesterday when a case related to an incident in which Reverend Athuraliye Ratana Thero was allegedly given death threats over the phone, was summoned to appear on June 4.

5 people including Saman Perera, the leader of our Janbala Party, were killed in a shooting that took place at around 8.30 yesterday morning near the Beliaatta entrance of the Southern Expressway.

But the fact that Saman Perera died was not reported to the court. Accordingly, the magistrate decided to issue a summons to the suspect.
