Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, said in Dehiattakandiyaa (9) that he will not betray any policy to gain positions even kingship is promised, will not betray the country, 220 lakh people and the party and no compromising with the Rajapaksas.
Although nearly a million lives were lost due to a huge tribal war in Rwanda many years ago, today Rwanda is called the new Singapore of Africa and it is much bigger than the lives lost in the war in this country. Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that the Rajapaksa family still lead the country to a plan to destroy based on racism and religiosity, and Namal Kumaraya of the bankrupt Rajapakse family has been appointed as the leader of a country building committee.
He said that it will be written in the political history that the people of our country, who lived with dignity and self-respect throughout history, were bankrupted by the Pohottu government and the Rajapaksa family and even now the Rajapaksa people are using President Ranil Wickramasinghe as a puppet and giving ministerial positions to people who are close to them.
They have made farmers, fishermen, school students and even pregnant mothers uncomfortable and they are not even able to provide fertilizer for the next season. Farmers are suffering losses for 3 seasons in a row. The Leader of the Opposition said.
The opposition leader said that the US Senate has even prepared a report on this and for the first time the Human Rights Council is even discussing the destruction of economic rights in our country. He said that their right to adequate food and education has been violated.
The opposition leader said that they are trying to solve the fertilizer problem from air-conditioned rooms and that the farmer and the fisherman are not coming close to each other even for a moment.
Mr Sajith Premadasa further noted that after giving the names of 38 state ministers, the names of 12 slaves loyal to the Rajapaksa family have been proposed for ministerial positions and even though they are trying to regain power through that, the people are with the Samagi Jana Balavega.
Even though there are smart boards and English language basic education in all the schools where the children of ministers study, the schools in other districts of the country have the least such facilities and it has even affected the job market . The opposition leader said that they are deceiving the people by using words such as Sinhala Buddhism and that Sinhala Buddhism really has to be with some one program and ability, and that is in the hands of the children who can conquer the world through a proper education system.
