It is reported that the opposition has decided to question the government regarding the establishment of a political party office in the official residence given to former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Yesterday, we reported that the residence at Malalasekara Mawatha, which was given to the former president, has now been handed over to Mr. Prasanna Ranatunga and Mr. Nimal Lanza, and political meetings will be organized from there with the aim of an upcoming election.

It is learned that the representatives of several main opposition parties who met yesterday discussed this matter at length and they have decided to question in the next parliamentary term on what basis an official house belonging to the government was given for political activities.
