Sri Lanka’s leading integrated financial services provider, HNB FINANCE PLC, has entered into a partnership with HNB General Insurance Ltd (HNBGI), making it significantly easier and faster for HNB FINANCE customers to obtain the general insurance policies required for most of the offerings from the company.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed recently by the two companies strengthens their ties, and also enables HNB FINANCE customers to obtain fire and motor policies but also all other general insurance policies offered by HNBGI without even having to leave the premises of HNB FINANCE. This partnership ensures that the process of obtaining the necessary insurance policies will be both more convenient and faster, further enhancing the overall customer experience.

“We at HNB FINANCE always introduce and endorse initiatives that undoubtedly elevate our customer experience, especially through partnerships with reputed organisations such as HNB General Insurance,” noted HNB FINANCE PLC Managing Director and CEO Chaminda Prabhath. “Exclusive to this type of partnership is the seamless enhancement of synergies and strengths that we benefit from, by being a part of one of Sri Lanka’s largest financial services conglomerates: The HNB Group.”

“We are indeed honoured to be a partner in this endeavour, and have no doubt that in the joining of forces by way of this MoU an enhanced and superlative proposition could be provided to all customers of HNB Finance” noted HNB General Insurance CEO Sithumina Jayasundara who further added “At the core of our strategy at HNBGI is customer centricity, which is purveyed by way of a superior product offering as well as augmented service delivery.

To this end, the Company on an ongoing basis continues to infuse new technologies that allow for multichannel customer interaction whilst also investing in developing our people. The company also has a robust claims management process by which the payment of claims are made expeditiously offering great convenience to the customer. In fact, the Global Banking and Finance Review recognised HNBGI as the Best Insurance Company Claims Management Team – Sri Lanka in 2022. Therefore I’m sure that this MoU will be start of many great things to come”.
