Hill Country Tourism Bureau Confirms Attractions Remain Open After Adverse Weather
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Hill Country Tourism Bureau has reassured travellers that major tourist attractions in Bandarawela, Ella, and Haputale remain safe and fully accessible following recent adverse weather conditions.

In a statement shared on social media, the bureau said that while some international media reports have referred to “cyclone chaos,” the actual situation on the ground presents a different picture. According to officials, roads in the vicinity of the Dowa Rock Temple are clear, views from Porawagala remain unobstructed, and Ravana Falls continues to welcome visitors, with its customary street-side food stalls operating as usual.

The bureau added that the storm has now passed, weather conditions have stabilised, and tourism activities across the region have returned to normal.
