Heavy Rainfall of Up to 100mm Expected in Western Province and Other Regions

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Eastern and Uva provinces and Hambantota District today (12), the Department of Meteorology stated.

Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers can be expected in most places elsewhere over the island after 1.00 p.m.

Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
