Harthal in Valachchena and Otamawadi! 300 shops closed! Raised black flags I Sri Lanka Latest News

Walachchena police state that a hartal movement is underway today (23) with black flags being raised and closing nearly 300 shops in the cities of Batticaloa Valachchena and Otamawadi in the Eastern Province.

Police say that this protest has been launched by an organization called Kalkuda People against the accusations made by the Government of Sri Lanka against the Government of Sri Lanka and the facts presented by the LTTE Diaspora to the Human Rights Council.

Valachchena Police Station Officer Lasantha Bandara mentioned that an organization called Kalkuda People has left a leaflet in front of the closed shops and now black flags have been raised all over Otamawadi and Valachchena and the shops have been completely closed.
