Today, Dr. Harsha de Silva presented to Parliament the agreement containing the International Monetary Fund’s conditions, which the government had been hiding until now.

When Mr. Harsha de Silva displayed the agreement, Acting Finance Minister Mr. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya became enraged and stated that it should not be presented to Parliament because it is a sensitive matter.

Mr. Silva responded that he would not do so as a responsible member of the opposition.
