Hanwella businessman shooting suspect dead in police shootout.

A suspect who was wanted for murder has died in a shootout with the police.

A person nicknamed “Karavitha Siya” has died in this incident.

He is a wanted suspect related to the incident of killing the owner of a shop at Hanwella Cross Road on December 18 last, according to the Western Province Southern District Crime Division.

The police, who investigated the incident, have arrested two more suspects under the charge of aiding and abetting the killing of the shop owner.

According to the information that the suspect is staying in Hanwella Niripola area, the police have started an operation to find the suspect.

During that operation, the suspect fired at the police and the police said that the suspect was seriously injured in the return fire.

The police further say that the suspect, who was seriously injured in the shooting attack, died after being admitted to the Avissawella hospital.

The police have started further investigations into the incident.
