A groundbreaking innovation in urban air mobility has taken flight as a Guntur-based startup, Magnum Wings, successfully tested its pilot-less electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The capsule-style aircraft, designed for two passengers, represents a significant leap forward in futuristic transportation.
According to company officials, the eVTOL can be remotely operated or manually piloted, offering flexibility in control. It boasts an impressive speed of 100 kmph, a range of 40 kilometers per charge, and can ascend to an altitude of 2,000 feet.
The successful test marks a major milestone in India’s efforts to integrate flying cars into urban transportation systems. Industry experts believe this innovation could revolutionize personal and commercial travel, reducing traffic congestion and enhancing mobility.
Magnum Wings’ achievement underscores India’s growing presence in the global eVTOL sector, as startups continue to explore cutting-edge solutions for sustainable and efficient air travel.
