Group Breaks Into Studio Seeking Former Minister’s Brother Over Alleged Fraud Involving Overseas Jobs
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A recent incident has been reported where a group of men and women forcibly entered the location where veteran journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrama was recording a program, in search of the younger brother of former Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara.

According to reports, the group had broken in under the pretext that Manusha Nanayakkara would be hosting a program with Samarawickrama, intending to capture his younger brother. The motive behind the intrusion is linked to allegations that the former minister’s brother had defrauded the group, as well as many others, by promising to send people abroad.

However, upon arriving at the scene, the group found that the younger brother was not present and subsequently left without making an arrest.

We reached out to Chamuditha Samarawickrama, who confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred last Friday.

If these claims of fraud are substantiated, it is imperative that a thorough investigation is conducted and the law is enforced against those responsible for this matter.
