In the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah, a large number of people have lost their homes and property. In response, the government has launched the Rebuilding Sri Lanka program to support affected citizens in rebuilding their lives and restoring the country.

As part of this initiative, a project is currently underway to construct houses for families whose homes were completely destroyed by the disaster. Donors from across the island are invited to contribute by providing the land required for the construction of these houses.

Further information is available on the official website, www.rebuildingsrilanka.gov.lk, or by calling 1800. Land donors can also submit their information via fax at 011 233 1246.

The government aims to restore the lives of all disaster-affected citizens to a higher standard than before.

All donors nationwide are encouraged to actively participate in the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ program and extend a helping hand to their fellow citizens.
