Minister Vijitha Herath announced that the government is prioritizing the development of a new operating procedure for ships arriving from foreign countries.
He stated that the Cabinet has granted approval for this initiative.
To expedite the process, a committee chaired by Minister Vijitha Herath has been appointed to oversee the preparation of the new procedure.
The Minister emphasized that the new operating procedure will be finalized as quickly as possible. Until then, the current procedure will remain in effect.
