Global Crude Oil Prices Drop Sharply; WTI, Brent and Murban Record Declines

The price of crude oil in the global market has recorded a notable decline.

According to foreign media reports, the price of a barrel of WTI crude oil has dropped to US$ 88.27, reflecting a decrease of 4.42 percent.

Meanwhile, the price of a barrel of Brent crude oil has fallen to US$ 98.84, marking a decline of 5.41 percent.

In addition, the price of a barrel of Murban crude oil, which is imported into Sri Lanka, has been recorded at US$ 119.88.

This represents a decrease of 11.31 percent compared to its previous price, according to further reports from foreign media.
