A letter was again sent to the Treasury requesting funds for election printing, the Government Press said.
Mrs. Ganga Kalpani Liyanage, Chief of the Printing Press, stated that the relevant letter was forwarded to the Operations Department of the Treasury.
She stated that a copy of it was forwarded to the Chairman of the Election Commission.
The head of the printing press said that no response has been received to the letter sent to the Ministry of Finance earlier asking for money for the printing works.
