Yesterday (29) Sri Lanka Latest News said that fuel required to maintain sufficient stocks of 50 percent of 92 octane petrol and 50 percent of Lanka Auto Diesel at 101 filling stations controlled by the Ceylon Petroleum Statutory Corporation has not been ordered yesterday (29) in anticipation of a fuel price revision.
Last month, efforts were made to take control of several petrol stations that failed to maintain fuel stocks properly under the Ceylon Petroleum Statutory Corporation and to take necessary legal action against other petrol stations.
The Ministry further mentions that all fuel station owners are requested to make the necessary orders to maintain the minimum fuel stocks required and the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has sufficient fuel stocks.
