4 police officers have been suspended in connection with the death of a sick woman after being hospitalized while taking statements at the Welikada Police.
Accordingly, it is reported that a police inspector, two sergeants and a police constable have been suspended.
Steps have also been taken to transfer two more police constables and one police constable regarding the related incident.
The relatives of the deceased woman allege that the woman in question died due to an assault.
The police has also started an internal investigation regarding the incident.
