The CID has informed the court that Damita Abeyratne and her husband have defrauded more than 30 lakh rupees by saying that they will send it to Korea.

The CID had thus requested to issue a notice to appear before the court due to the neglect of the notice given to the police to come to investigate the complaint in that regard.

Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage has said that since they have not been named as suspects, the court cannot issue a notice.

Also, Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage, who has stated that orders should be requested properly, has mentioned that in the future, “notices should also be issued to those walking on the road”
