It was after joining the opportunity to provide a friendly classroom worth 10 lakh rupees to Anuradhapura Kabithigollawa Gonuhaddenawa Vidyalaya under the 190th day of Sakwala Suhuru classrooms programme.
He entered the Parliament representing Anuradhapura district and has served as the Cabinet Minister for Child Development and Women’s Affairs and as the Minister of Local Medicine.
