Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake’s mother Mrs. Kamalika Sriya Karunanayake has passed away in a private hospital.
She had been ill for some time and was 82 years old when she died.
Former President J.R. During Jayawardene’s administration, she has worked as the coordinator of parliamentary affairs.
The body is scheduled to be kept at the AF Raymond funeral hall in Borella from 01.00 today (18) and the last rites of the body are scheduled to be performed at Borella cemetery tomorrow (19) at 4.30 pm, according to family sources.
