Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, along with two other suspects, has been granted bail after seven months in custody. The decision was announced today (September 11) at the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
The bail pertains to a case involving the purchase of substandard human immunoglobulin injection doses. The court reviewed the allegations of acquiring inferior medical products, which led to the detention of Rambukwella and his co-accused.
This development marks a significant turn in the ongoing legal proceedings against the former minister, who has been a prominent figure in recent health sector controversies.
