Former Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya stated that some politicians still believe there are citizens who will blindly follow and vote for them. He remarked that these politicians think they can manage with the support of 150 parliament members within five or six years, challenging them to prove it.
Deshapriya emphasized that postponing elections is a grave crime, highlighting the importance of timely and fair electoral processes.
