Former Director of the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD), Assistant Superintendent of Police Neville Silva, has been taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
According to police sources, the arrest took place at the Police Field Force Headquarters.
The former CCD director is reportedly being detained in connection with allegations of kidnapping and wrongful confinement.
