Keselwatta Police says that thieves have broken into the underground case warehouse of the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court for the second time (16) in the night. Sri Lanka Latest News
The chief registrar of the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court submitted a complaint to the Keselwatte Police that the thieves had broken into this underground case warehouse on the 6th of last year, and the police who investigated the matter also reported the facts to the court.
According to this, today (17th) the thieves broke into this warehouse, and four padlocks were put on the door from inside and outside and all of them were broken and the door was opened, said a court officer.
The officer mentioned that the case materials related to the old cases including old case files, several safes with gold items, firearms, and weapons are kept in this underground case storage. The judicial officer added that the cases in this warehouse with very old case files were not specifically documented regarding the goods and books.
