Five actresses suspected of having traveled abroad and maintained contact with Kehelbaddara Padme, who is currently in custody, have been summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Their statements have been recorded, the CID informed the court today (31). Sri Lanka Latest News
The CID further informed the court that ongoing investigations aim to determine whether these individuals were involved in illegal drug trafficking, money laundering, or weapons-related criminal activities through their alleged association with Kehelbaddara Padme.
After considering the submissions made, the Colombo Chief Magistrate ordered the CID to submit the progress report of the investigations on November 07.
