Finance Ministry Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena says that the government’s monthly income is not enough to pay the monthly salaries of public servants and pensioners and maintain social welfare.
The secretary mentioned this in a discussion held at the Ministry of Finance today (23) regarding the new tax policies that will be implemented from the first of January to increase state revenues.
