It is reported the government has succeeded in getting the support of few independent group MPs to form a parliamentary select comity and postpone the LG elections.
In recent days, the government has persuaded these people by offering to chair Parliamentary committees.
At tomorrow’s party leaders’ meeting, they will support the Parliamentary Select Committee.
This group also includes former Gotabhaya Rajapaksa associates.
