Explosions Heard in Bahrain, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi Amid Escalating Regional Tensions
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Explosions were reported a short while ago in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Abu Dhabi, heightening fears of a broader regional escalation.

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry confirmed the activation of warning sirens across parts of the country, cautioning residents about a potential Iranian attempt to target United States military installations. According to the Bahrain News Agency, a missile strike targeted a service facility linked to the United States Fifth Fleet, which is headquartered in the Gulf kingdom.

In response to the unfolding developments, Kuwaiti civil aviation authorities announced the temporary closure of national airspace to all aircraft and passenger traffic, citing security concerns.

The United Arab Emirates also declared a temporary and partial closure of its airspace, describing the move as an exceptional precautionary measure amid the rapidly evolving situation.

Authorities in the affected countries have urged the public to remain calm and follow official guidance as security agencies continue to assess the situation.
