António Guterres UN General secretary notes that he is keeping a close watch on Sri Lanka and observe developments.
This morning (14), he tweeted about it.
” I’ve been keeping a close eye on the situation in Sri Lanka.” Addressing protestors’ grievances and determining the root cause of the conflict remain critical. I urge all political parties to pursue a peaceful transition while upholding democratic values at all times.
