Ex-Parliamentarian Mujibur Rahman questions the veracity of the DNA report, while police claim Sara Jasmin is dead! VIDEO

Former Member of Parliament Mr. Mujibar Rahman criticized the statement made by the police that it has been confirmed that Sara Jesmin, who was involved in the Easter attack, is dead.

The statement appears below.

The Police Media Division issued a press release yesterday (29) saying that the DNA of Sarah Jasmine, who was the main suspect in connection with the Easter bombings that took place on April 21, 2019, has been confirmed to be dead by her  mother’s DNA testing.

Sara Jasmine is the wife of the person who is the suicide bomber of the bomb attack in Katuwapitiya.

This DNA tests were carried for the dead bodies of 26th April. Sara Jasmin was considered vital evidence resolving the Easter attack inquiry. Therefore locating her was considered very important.

Whether this Sara Jasmin is alive or dead was a considered very important to make a breakthrough in this incident. Yesturday’s police media release indicate this DNA in question is the third one in relation to Sara’s death. The previous two occasions the DNA reports said Sara’s body was not found among the bodies that were found in the suicide bombing happened on the 26th April. However this new third report says she was there and the DNA confirms that she is among the dead.

This raises doubts, as who decided a third DNA needed to establish Sara Jasmin’s death. Who wanted to claim this third report is accurate. Who decided the third DNA was it a judge/ court of law, Attorney general or IGP. If this is not established all court case related DNA tests could create stir among the litigants.

The main thing here is that we said from the beginning that this was a conspiracy from the day of the Easter bomb attack and that everyone had to accept that it was a conspiracy based on local and foreign influence to gain power. Even Mr. Dappula Livera, the former Attorney General, said it.

There we can see that the main slogan in Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s election campaign was to punish those responsible for the Easter bombings. The people of the country got 69 lakhs by anesthetizing the people of the country and blackening their eyes. Now when they come to power, we can see how they suppress this Easter bomb attack without finding the real responsible ones. That means they are trying to confirm that Pulasti Mahendran or Sara Jesmin died to suppress that witness.

Now the problem we have is that it has been reported to the court that there were 16 dead bodies and all of them were identified as those who died in the suicide attack in Saindamarudu on April 26th. All but two of them were Saharan’s family members. How did Sarah’s dead body suddenly appear from there now? It’s been almost four years since the incident and these investigation teams took four years to find out that Sara was there.

After two DNA tests, there was no one there and the third one was done, and that is the problem on whose influence this is done. When this third test was done I voiced in Parliament, I said that they will do DNA tests until they confirm that Sarah is dead. Now that has come true. That this government is not conducting real investigations related to the Easter attack because it has been trying to suppress these investigations since the day it came to power.

The investigating office of Police Shani Abeysekera was arrested and imprisoned, Ravi Senaviratne was sent home, Thissera was transferred and sent. These investigation team that found important information about the Easter bombings. To supress these investigations these were done.

Presidential commission report copy was given to us from the parliament. All those connected to that given evidence. In page 251 of the report it says Saharan’s wife Hadiya’s testimony. There it says after the Easter attack two persons have given evidence to the commission that Sara was alive. Hadiya in her evidence states that after the Saithamarudu blast she fainted. When she was regained conciseness that she heard someone like Sara talking, and the DNA done with Sara’s mother establishes that Sara was not dead.

Considering this evidence, the Commission of Inquiry recommends that investigations be continued against Sarah.

When we have all these evidences, what is the joke of the police media unit? Therefore, there is a reasonable doubt that when these facts have been reported and when it has been confirmed that 16 people died, when it has been confirmed that there was no corpse in any way that was not identified, how can the belief in this DNA test be confirmed.

Therefore, we can see that there is an invisible force in the government, the invisible force is trying to suppress the truth related to this Easter attack without looking for help and trying to finish the evidence claiming that Sarah Jasmine died.

We say that when Ranil Wickremesinghe, was Prime Minister, he told that he would bring Scotland Yard and now he is the President. It was when he was the prime minister that this bomb exploded and many people lost their lives in this country. As a result, racist riots took place. The harmony between the communities in our country was lost. There was hatred between people. Suspicion arose among the religion groups. Various kinds of unrest arose between the nations. All this happened with the bombing of Saharan on April 21.

We are asking the President to conduct an international investigation into this emerging report and request him to conduct an independent investigation with international participation.
