Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that an operation has begun to extort the members of the opposition by giving 200 million each.
He stated this while attending a meeting of the party held in Dehiwala.
However, the member of Parliament who spoke there, S.M. Mr. Marikkar mentioned that he would not betray the public opinion even if he said that he would give 10000 lakhs instead of 2000 lakhs.
