EPF used to restructure local debt- threatened to levy a 30% tax on EPF annual income, opposed by Central Bank trade unions! Here is the letter sent by the unions!  I Sri Lanka Latest News

5 trade unions of the Central Bank jointly signed a letter to the Chairperson of the Central Bank to protest against the use of the Employees’ Provident Fund for the domestic debt restructuring program and to threaten to impose a 30% tax on the annual income of the Employees’ Provident Fund. Sri Lanka Latest News

The trade unions have informed in their letter that they are ready to take joint action in this regard.
