Mr. Dhanushka Parakramasinghe said so today (29) while holding a special press conference in Colombo.

Mr Dhanushka Parakramasinghe mentioned that the proposal for the implementation of this year’s second electricity tariff revision on July 1 will be submitted to the Electricity Board and Public Utilities Commission this week, where the people should receive a significant reduction in electricity tariffs.

Mr Parakramasinghe said that the Electricity Board Restructuring Act to be discussed in the Parliament has received the necessary provisions to increase the electricity bill and also mentioned that the current administration of the Electricity Board is already working as required by foreign companies.
