Engineer Professor K.T.M.U. Hemapala has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), according to an official letter issued on the CEB’s letterhead.
Professor Hemapala is also a former Secretary to the Ministry of Energy, bringing valuable experience to his new role.
The same letter also confirms that the resignation of Engineer Dr. D.J.T. Siyambalapitiya, who has been serving as the Chairman of the CEB until now, has been approved with immediate effect.
