A group of ministers, including those who opposed the proposal brought by the Pohottuwa Politburo, met President Ranil Wickramasinghe last night (29). Sri Lanka Latest News

They have decided to support Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe in the upcoming presidential election.

A group of people had opposed the decision made by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s politburo that met this afternoon to present a candidate for this year’s presidential election.

The opposition ministers and others gathered at the political office of United National Party Member of Parliament Mr. Vajira Abeywardena in Malpara, Colombo and engaged in a discussion.

It was with the participation of President Ranil Wickramasinghe.

For this, Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapakse, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera, State Ministers Dilum Amunugama, Anupa Paskuval, Geeta Kumarasinghe, Members of Parliament Mahindananda Aluthgamage, S.B. Dissanayake, Premnath C Dolawatta and others were reported to have participated.

They have decided to support Mr Ranil Wickramasinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
