The Election Commission has issued an announcement stating that the local government body has set the date to hold the election on 25th of April.
The announcement states as follows.
The Election Commission has informed the district election officers that due to the unexpected and unavoidable issues arising in relation to the printing of ballot papers and other facilities related to the polls, the said poll cannot be held on March 9, 2023 and the 25th of April is more suitable for that. Advised.’
