Duminda Lasanta Amaraweera Obtains Injunction Against Maithripala: Sri Lanka Latest News

The Colombo District Court has issued an interim restraining order preventing the removal of Mr Duminda Dissanayake, Mr Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Mr Mahinda Amaraweera from the positions of the Working Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. Sri Lanka Latest News

Duminda Dissanayake, Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Mahinda Amaraweera were removed from the posts of Sri Lanka Freedom Party last Saturday (30).

The Executive Council of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party met at the party headquarters on that day, where these decisions were taken.

Accordingly, Mr Duminda Dissanayake, who was removed from the position of National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, was appointed Mahiyanganaya Constituency Organizer Mr KP Gunawardena.

Also, Mr Lasantha Alagiyawanna, who was removed from the post of treasurer, was replaced by Mr Hector Bethmage, the former minister of the Western Provincial Council, and Mr Sarath Ekanayake was appointed instead of Mr Mahinda Amaraweera, who was the senior vice president of the party.
