The High Commission of India, in collaboration with the Ministry of Technology of the Government of Sri Lanka, is hosting a conference on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) on March 26, 2024, in Colombo. This conference aims to delve into the transformative potential of DPI in enhancing service delivery, fostering inclusivity within communities, and catalyzing innovation to bolster the economy.
The conference will kick off with an opening plenary session featuring a keynote address by His Excellency President Ranil Wickremesinghe. Following the opening session, there will be two panel discussions. The first panel, titled “Accelerating Digital Sri Lanka,” will concentrate on how DPI streamlines governance and enhances citizen accessibility. The second panel, “Unlocking the Digital Stack,” will delve into various use cases of DPI, including its implications in the startup sphere, where technology, markets, and governance intersect.
The esteemed panels will be inaugurated by the Honorable State Minister of Technology, Kanka Herath, and the Honorable MP, Harsha de Silva, respectively. Expert speakers from both India and Sri Lanka, representing diverse sectors and viewpoints on digital infrastructure and governance, will contribute to these discussions.
