Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama has been appointed as the new chairman of the National Drug Regulatory Authority.
The appointment was made today (31) by the Minister of Health and Industry Dr. Ramesh Pathirana.
This appointment has been granted in a special discussion held by the Minister with the Board of Directors of the National Drug Regulatory Authority at the Ministry of Health.
Specialist Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama joined the government service in 1992 and became a specialist in 2000. He is currently working as a senior physiologist at the National Infectious Diseases Institute.
