Don’t arrest! Do not make a suspect in the Gotagogama case! Deshabandu has been granted relief by the Court of Appeal from the Attorney General’s recommendation!

The Court of Appeal has today (24) issued an interim order preventing the arrest or naming of Mr. Deshbandu Tennakoon, Senior Deputy Police Commissioner in charge of the Western Province, as a suspect in the incident of the attack on the Gota Go village protest site.

This interim order has been issued by an appellate court bench consisting of Mr. Justice Nishanka Bandula Karunaratne and M.A.R. Marikkar.
