The Association of Government Medical Officers states that it will implement a week of black protests against the government’s new tax policy.
Meanwhile, doctors across the country have started signing a petition demanding the withdrawal of the Inland Revenue Act.
Doctors in Badulla, Teldeniya, Kandy, Kegalle, and Galle hospitals had signed the same petition, and other hospitals would also sign it, according to the Government Medical Officers Association.
