The death toll from the recent adverse weather conditions across Sri Lanka has risen to 193, according to the latest figures.
The Disaster Management Center (DMC) also reports that 228 people remain missing amid the ongoing crisis.
As of 11:30 a.m. today (30), the DMC confirmed that 968,304 individuals, comprising 266,114 families, have been affected by the disaster.
Badulla district has recorded the highest number of fatalities, with 71 deaths. Kandy follows with 52, Matale with 20, and Kurunegala with 15 reported deaths.
The DMC further states that rescue operations have been hampered in some areas due to landslides and severe weather. Currently, 105 people are missing in Kandy, 53 in Badulla, 27 in Kurunegala, and 24 in Kegalle.
